Where Music Was Born...

I am Marie-Dominique Rail, contemplative pianist, composer, author, Reiki Master, and spiritual companion.

Music has accompanied me since childhood, gradually becoming a space of expression, listening, reflection, and quiet transformation.

Through life’s passages, it has remained a companion through healing, grief, hope, renewal, and the many inner movements that shape a human life.

As MariDo, I create meditative piano music and atmospheric compositions inspired by silence, emotion, healing, and the unseen dimensions of experience.

Blending improvisation, contemplative atmospheres, emotional depth, and cinematic sensitivity, my music accompanies moments of reflection, meditation, prayer, grief, relaxation, and inner renewal.

Over the years, I have shared music with individuals moving through profound life transitions, offering presence through performances within hospitals, palliative care centers, wellness and recovery environments, contemplative spaces, community settings, and intimate gatherings.

Whether in healing spaces or quiet musical settings, my intention has remained simple: to create moments of calm, reflection, emotional presence, and inner grounding.

Beatitudo Hymn Renaissance – Vol. 7 - 2024

Beatitudo Hymn - Renaissance, my ninth album, is a creation very dear to my heart. It blends the precision of classical music with the emotional depth of contemporary expression, a reflection of my own spirit, my journey, and my devotion to the art that has carried me through so much.

I composed and recorded this album during my recovery. It unfolded as 76 minutes of uninterrupted piano, a single, continuous breath of music. Each movement echoes the highs and lows I lived through, and the battles so many face every day on multiple levels: physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual.

This piece is my way of honoring that resilience, mine, yours, and theirs. It is raw at times, tender at others, but always guided by hope. I wanted the music to offer a space where listeners can feel seen, lifted, and accompanied, no matter where they are on their path.

Music became my sanctuary during the most challenging moments of my life; through silence, I found music. With this album, I hope to inspire others never to give up and continue smiling. It reflects courage, faith, and love for life through hardships. One Love

My devotion is simple and sacred.
